Youth Arts and Entrepreneurship Project (YAEP) is an initiative supporting 200 young crafts, digital artists, and fashion creatives (70% female and 30% males) in Kampala and Wakiso districts through mentorship and technical support to set up cultural and creative enterprises.
Youth Arts and Entrepreneurship Project (YAEP) is an initiative supporting 200 young crafts, digital artists, and fashion creatives (70% female and 30% males) in Kampala and Wakiso districts through mentorship and technical support to set up cultural and creative enterprises. SARI provides training and marketing support to the young artisans who produce handicrafts from recycled materials such as paper beads, paper vases, banana fiber, car tires, glass bottles and cow horn. SARI also provide technical support to digital arts and fashion designers to sharpen their skills in creating diverse products and services. SARI also holds workshops to equip participants with knowledge and skills in finance and business management, capital mobilizing, pitching, intellectual property tools, communication, and digital marketing to enable participants to market their products and services. SARI has been supported by the Australian High Commission, Kenya, under the Direct AID Program to implement the project for two years from 2024-2025.
